| Nestled in the rolling hills of Ohio Amish
country, this outfitter offers a number of choices for the discriminating
hunter, from a large, high-fence operation to free-ranging hunts
for Ohio's famous large-bodied deer.
With preserve hunting based from a recently-constructed log
lodge overlooking the hunting preserve, the outfitter offers
deer, elk and bison hunting, as well as various
exotics, in a 140-plus acre high fence operation. This hunting
preserve is carefully managed for large-bodied and antlered
deer and elk. Food plots are maintained and deer stands
strategically placed to ensure hunting success. Deer are available
in numerous sizes, priced accordingly, whether one is looking
for a nice, whitetail buck or that monster, wall-hanger of a
lifetime.
No licenses or tags are needed for the three-day hunts
on the preserve, and hunters may use their choice of weapon
without regard for hunting seasons or bag limits.
Elk season starts in September when the bulls
are in rut with hunting extending through February. In addition
to bulls, cow elk and bison are available. There are also exotic
species available, with the specialty being
muntjac, including red stag, fallow deer, axis deer,
sika deer, rams, pheasants, chukar and quail.
In addition to hunting on the preserve, the outfitter offers
five-day, free-range hunts for whitetail on one thousand
surrounding acres. These lands have been managed for
the past 15 years for top-quality whitetail hunting, and are
surrounded by fields of corn, soy beans, alfalfa and clover,
as well as strategically-placed food crops and mineral licks
to maintain a healthy herd that stays in the area year round.
